Patigi Local Government Area is situated in Kwara state, North Central geopolitical zone of Nigeria with headquarters in the town of Patigi. The LGA is made up of several towns and villages, including Kpada, Lade, Patigi, Gbadekin, Koro, Kusogi, Lagada, and Lanlegi.
It is inhabited by the Nupe people who also exhibit a linguistic repertoire of the Yoruba dialect. The Nupe language is widely spoken in Patigi LGA, and both Christianity and Islam are commonly practiced religions. Notable festivals held in Patigi Local Government Area include the Patigi Boat Regatta Festival and the Ndakogbaya Masquerade.
